Ok... Who's installed it?
I'm a new Turbo S owner... What are the downsides to such an install? Any potential damage if driven hard?
How easy to uninstall if service is needed. Any chance of bricking the car with a failed download?
Thanks!

Softronic directly has done customers. I dont have that information though.
There really are NO downsides except you might lose fuel economy because you will be driving harder. All Softronic ECU tuning is done to take into account reliability. These motors and trans have the extra to pull out still. So this is not pushing the limits by any means. Doing the ECU read out is very easy. The write process on the DFI requires you to follow a specific sequence that Softronic emails to you. You cannot brick the ECU unless you interupt the writing process. If for some reason you do not follow the sequence correctly (happens), the car goes into limp mode. This is why Softronic recommends for you to do this in the evening of your home. Once the car sits for 8-10 hours, it resets itself out of limp mode, weird, but true. If you were to brick your ECU, you can remove it from the car, send it to Softronic, and they fix it on the bench flasher and return it to you with the tuned file installed. You can still use the cable though.

Could you use the same flash on a "non-S" 911TT.2 PDK and get the same results?
Since the Turbo S gets it's extra 30HP from software and there really isn's a difference in the motor, shouldn't you be able to use the same program on a regular 911TT.2 PDK?
Thanks for educating a newbie.

Softronic actually says that both make 610. Since we actually did our 997.2 TT non S on 91octane, and with our AWD Mustang dyno, we slightly show less. But with 93octane you will get 610 bhp to both cars.
