I was on the track last month with a brand new SLS, shame the guy had trouble keeping it on the track. He was drag racing everyone down the straights then last minute let them pass and went into the corners too fast. Nice car regardless.

i'm still considering it. knowing the fact it would be slower than Turbo or GT3 or any sort, i can careless about that since i don't hit the track at all.

i like it simply because of the look. and it looks classy too.

i'd defo consider it over my 997tt if they used there new engine 63TT
i was in track last month one of the guys went out with a trainer he had a SL65 after a hot round in the track he's rotors and breaks started frying smokey and breaks stopped working !
the trainer told him that his car is no good for track
my opinion i think Mercedes don't do good cars for tracks there's of course couple of extremely expensive exceptions like the blackseries

You cant compare a heavy cabriolet like the sl65 with the sls. The sls will Do Good on the track, even though Its not a pure trackcar. And Its very fast in a straightline! I love it!

You know, they do this sort of thing extremly well. Getting a little "hot" over it. May start hanging around MB store.

you're right and i love it too but SLS is not a very fast car in straight lines
997.2tt can easily take it down with no problems and with a 25+% off it price tag

I debated getting one prior to making the decision to get a 458. Don't regret it one bit.

Justin, didn't know you got a 458! Tell me more. I'm still hankering for an Fcar. May look for a scud or 430 in another year or so.

Can't give up my TT though.

Congrats on the 458. Also looking at a Ferrari. Just have to find out if I fit as I sit very high in a car and none to try on in my area. Will be in Florida the end of March and planning on looking at a few. 458 is first choice but not sure I want to pay the premium. My 60th birthday gift to myself. Now that my wife has the Turbo S, I feel better about getting a real garage queen.

SLS is a pretty cool idea; old fashion style'd and a big v8 under the hood. simply a german muscle car.. I have the S63 and its an awesome motor... The SLS is just nothing the porsche cant handle. I just think that 6.3 liter v8 stays in the c63s and hopefully they use the NEW MB TT motors. then just mayyyybe.
