Area Under the Curve
These extrude honed 63.5mm turbos spool faster than anything else in this thread including the graphs for stock turbos/stopck turbos with Protomotive tune.
But given that the data was done with a 3rd gear pull and not a 4th gear pull, I wonder if that accounts for the much better spool up, and maybe they are not directly comparable?
They are making 100 load by 2000rpms (vs 80 on stock turbos) and 130 by 2500rpms (vs. 110 stock).

It's a combination of hardware and tuning. If you look at Evoms' dynos, their signature is early torque advantage while maintaining a long flat tq line. A fuel like E85 will help but it's not the main reason. Their EVT700+ packages pull like you wouldn't believe.
Asher's (The Bogg) outstanding collection of data. Most comprehensive set yet. Look at the nice gains in boost response even with the bigger turbos over stock. Plus look at the shape of the curves compared to stock. And all the gain in the upper half! I suspect this tune is silky smooth just like stock but ratcheted up a good notch. Pretty good custom tuning if you ask me. Overall gain is about 26% over stock, quite significant when you start out with 480 hp.
PS And this is all on pump fuel.

Thanks for all your work again Dave. The improvement with the latest version of the tune is amazing. The graph may look like there is a dip but subjectively it just pulls and pulls all the way up to redline and really is smooth as silk. Sport mode is violent!

Comment: If you're wondering why Asher's AUCs is similar to Mike's yet Mike's car is significantly faster, it's because i was a little lazy in calculating Asher's graphs (sorry Asher, data overload--lol) plus Mike's car is not full weight. If the torque curve is smooth you can fit an equation that matches well. If it's humpy then you have to break up the graph in parts and fit a curve for each section and then integrate each section and add them all up. This is time consuming but that's what I did with Mike's and Yousef's graphs. With Asher's it was just one straight curve that left some parts higher and some lower. Internally his relative numbers and increases should be fairly accurate.
Very good info Dave. I suspect your rep points have taken off in a sinusoidal pattern similar to your graphs! Yeah I was thinking for a minute "really, my AUC is up there with Mike's???" lol, reality sets in.
I love Yousef's graph - waiting, waiting, waiting...BOOM! Classic turbo graph! Bet it hits like a ton of bricks when the turbos wake up.
For my DD use a response like Mike's is optimal. I'd say it's basically the same as mine but amplified. As a DD the upgraded vtg car is very good.

Dave, I'll get the mafless datalog to you this weekend and we can compare the auc graph of maf vs mafless, which I think should be interesting since there's been some debate in the past about mafless tunes.

Sounds good. I'll give it a careful look over. With these simulated curves, it's easy to be off by 10% if the fit isn't perfect especially at the higher end when you're dealing with larger numbers. I try not give Proto cars any AUC bonus points--lol.
