Clutch Pedal Feels very soft on cold start
This week I've noticed that when my car sits for a few days, the clutch pedal is very soft and wont come all the way up(3/4). But after pumping it a few times and driving out the neighborhood it stiffens up and operates like normal. I recall I had a similar problem a few years ago when the clutch pedal fell to the floor and wouldn't come up(due to no fluid). Is this a symptom of the same problem?

Will is slowly get worse or fail instantly?

low on pentosin is right, but its leaking or backing up somewhere. I typically noticed mine going bad and then 3-4 weeks later fail.
If you have a report showing them topping it off etc. then you should be ok, push it up the ladder if they give you a hard time.

I just changed the accumulator and slave cylinder on my 993tt which is probably similar to the 997tt. The parts cost was $800 and that was wholesale. I had to remove the starter and hug the transmission from underneath and unbolt the slave by feel. There is no way to see it because it lies on top of the tranny. The job absolutely kills your shoulders. The pentosin has to go somewhere and in my case it was leaking out the front reservoir in the "frunk"
