Love the GT2RS...70-80hp loss with high temps!!! I run 100 octane in the car all the time to help give me the most hp possible (flashed and cat less), but in the heat I can't tell the difference between 91 and 100 octane. 116 today...the turbo stayed in the garage.

Porsche hit it way out of the ballpark with the GT2 RS. Top Gear America seems to be making some real improvements also, very well done episode.

Has anyone experimented with the effectiveness of water injection in the 911 Turbos? It's very widely used in some automotive circles (Evos, old Grand Nationals, etc) with wonderful results. If you just inject water, it's great protection against detonation by reducing air intake temps to well below ambient. Seems like it would be a decent solution, although it does take some maintaining (paying attention to the fluid level to make sure you don't go dry).

Just thinking....
