Congrats, I drove by FoS and saw your yellow Turbo outside and remembered your username here! Hope to see it out at Cars and Coffee! I'll introduce myself if I see you!

Wow, BEAUTIFUL car! I love it in Guards Red. Good call about the wheels, do you have any ideas of what you want to do? Champion has some really nice wheels http://www.championmotorsport.com/Se...ts.asp?Cat=248. If it were mine, I'd get the Champion RG5 Monolites and have them powder coated black.

or if you plan on doing a lot of track work and looking for the lightest possible wheels, go for the Magnesium RS61's also in black!

No matter what you choose or even if you decide to keep the stock wheels and powdercoat them (which I do love btw), I'm sure it'll look great. Congratulations on such an awesome car!

I'm not sure if this is the same/or similar car, but FoS had a red GT2 a while back (not sure when the photo was taken, the Flickr time stamp is incorrect)

Gorgeous... the GT2 is the ultimate expression of the road-going 911, and it takes a special individual to appreciate that. Welcome to the club.

Agree,
I would like to hear your opinion on the differences you feel between the turbo and the 2. I have a friend with the turbo and we switch back and fourth with my 2 and there is a considerable difference.
Mainly, I am talking about everything other than the power (handling, suspension, clutch, steering, shifter, weight).

If I had never driven/owned a 997 TT I don't believe I'd comprehend how truly different the TT and GT2 are from one another. The GT2 is far better planted at any speed. The steering is lighter and more presice. The clutch has a firmer feel, but is easy to operate in traffic. Everything feels like it was put together better, tighter, and with a pure sports car in mind. The exhaust is very quite when not called upon and aggressive when asked. The GT2 is much lower and needs to be handled as such. I have very few complaints of my TT: body roll, soft clutch, and exhaust, but thats it. I had an EVOMs 580/600 tune with Cargraphics race exhaust and front and rear RSS sways. I would not have changed a thing on my TT, the GT2 is just so much more car.

Very well put, thanks for your comparo. I totally agree with everything you said. When I drive my friends 09 TT and then jump into my GT2 it is such a drastic difference. Its feels so much lighter, tighter, precise, and planted. The TT in comparison feels so heavy and cushy (lexus like).
Do you have any mods for it in mind. As I mentioned before you have EVOMS right there in town.
