Clutch & Pressure Plate Break-in Procedure?

Having a new Sachs 2.5 clutch & pressure plate installed this week. Any recommendations on proper break-in procedures? Want to make sure I treat her right.

- Max RPM?
- Driving style recommendations? (avoiding WOT, avoiding excessive load at a low RPM, easy acceleration)
- Duration? (how many miles before we're good to go )

Much appreciated...

Just had it installed on my car and was told 200 to 300 miles to take it easy.

+1 on Mike at AWE-Tuning. Honest and Great Customer service regardless of how much or how little you are spending.

You will LOVE the Sachs 2.5 clutch kit. I have it on my car, and it has no downsides at all. NONE.

Just go easy on it for the first 200 miles - just drive your car as you would breaking in a "new"car.

going back to this old thread. Is 200 miles enough for a proper break in for a 764 PP?

I found this helpful article, which says about 500 miles. Easy on gas, street miles, with many heat cycles

I always shoot for 400-500 street miles with as much bumper to bumper stock and go traffic. This has alway worked perfectly. I run the Sachs Motorsport 487 plate (basically a beefed up 764 plate) along with a GT3RS 4.0 disc and a 964RS LWFW. Zero issues holding 720 ft.lbs of torque.

s65e90 is infamous around these parts
200 miles normal driving, that's it. Never had an issue.
