Hey fellas, another built motor finished couple weeks ago.. Almost done with the break in procedure.. It went smoothly and my tech said it should be pretty bullet proof for the power goals I have..

The 850 engine build requires the stage 1 components:
Upgraded Rods, EVOMS/ Carrillo Spec
OEM Gaskets, Seals, O-Rings, and Top End Rebuild Kit
EVOMS 10mm Head Stud Kit
EVOMS 3.6L, 10mm Stud, Hellfire Head Gaskets
OEM Rod Bearing Set
OEM Main Bearing Set
OEM Nose Bearing
OEM Intermediate Bearing Set
OEM Piston Ring Set

We pinned the camshafts that tend to fail, and we also pinned the Intermediate gear that drives the timing chain.

As far as power mods, im still running the infamous EVOMS EVT775 kit-
•EVOMS VTG Turbochargers w/ 65mm Billet Compressor Wheels
•EVOMSit EVT775 ClubSport PUMP ECU Calibration – 7000 RPM Rev Limit
•EVOMSit Transmission TCU Calibration – 7000 RPM Rev Limit, Increased TQ limits, Quicker Shifts
•EVOMS ClubSport Intercoolers (charge coolers) w/ Silicone Boost Hoses
•EVOMS High Flow Silicone Turbocharger Air Inlet Ducts
•EVOMS Billet Turbocharger Boost Recirculation Valves
•EVOMS 82mm Throttle Body / Plenum conversion
• EVOMS HED Ignition Coils
• EVOMS Lightweight and Strengthened Underdrive Crank Pulley
• Fab Speed full exhaust and headers
• Renntech Tiptronic mod
-Along with a race gas file-
-every seal/ hose on the engine new

Hopefully soon enough I can upgrade to some Tial 3076s with power goals around 700 on pump-possibly 800 on race gas? What do you guys think?

Some p-car traffic waiting in line to get tweaked @ TKX Performance.. CGT loaner car

Carrillo rods, modded oil pump to fit rods-

Proper tools for a proper job.

2 orders of the Torque solution/ mike @ awd motor sports coolant pipe kits.

Hope im not forgetting anything! Cheers

Awesome Salerno! I like your upgrades. Staying at 3.6 with solid motor upgrades should last you for a long long time with your vtg package. You're gonna have one solid motor at the end of the day and peace of mind when you let it rip.

Break in procedure is key, if there is too much friction from the heat, my newly built motor can have soft spots if the break in procedure is not correct. I put some non synthetic oil in it the first 400 miles, changed it to synthetic, now im waiting till 1200mi to change it once more before I let her rip WOT.

1200 mi! I guess you're gonna have to exert some self-control. Not sure I'd be able to hold out that long--lol.

Nice build...I think your numbers are off a bit though with the 3076 and a tip..I would say on pump gas, you should be just around 620 and on race gas around 700+...

Skeet - Well, 3076s are rated at 495hp per turbo... Being that the motor/trans is built I think the motor can hold a little more than that. Hopefully in the near future we can peg the turbos with extra fuel, larger injectors, and some c16 ;I dont see why she cant make closer to 800whp on the good gas..

Enjoy it in good health! Just curious, why didn't you go directly to the Tial's if that's where you want to end up?

Steam, it was an unexpected engine drop due to a failed camshaft. I went to just strengthened 3.6 for supporting mods down the road; figured ill enjoy it while I get my funds up for big powa mods; and sure enough I found a good deal on a pair of 3076s that a member was selling that I just could not pass up on! the mod bug has bitten me I guess

Many financial blessings upon you, my son.........yer gonna need 'em!!

Track events 2012: Road America, Memorial Day Weekend, Chicago PCA DE. "The Big Dogs Come Off the Porch." You are ready to roll with a car for that track and it's one of the best DE's I've ever been part of! It's a "must" event for any bucket list. Any chance you might be able to make it....perhaps.....maybe?? Best,
