help out plz...turbo ate my cellphone. not kidding.

It all started on this beautiful los angeles morning...
I was driving rather spirited when my cellphone fell to the floor on the passenger side, i then braked very hard to avoid an accident...

Next thing i know, my cellphone is nowhere to be seen.

I try calling it and realized its underneath the carpet of the passenger side(in the floor board)

There is a tiny metal opening under the seat that goes into a blackhole, and this is where my cellphone went.

I tried fishing it out with a metal coat hanger, with no luck.

I have no idea what to do?? It seems like i need to gut the interior on the passengar side, but i really would rather not do that

any suggestions?

(btw i have the sport seats, so the bottom of the seat is manually operated)

frankie997 is infamous around these parts
The same thing happened to me in my GT3. It took some time but I finally got it back. I rolled up some duct tape on the end of a hanger an that did the trick.
Good luck
Frankie

you can try to remove the seat and peel the carpeting up, sounds like its stuck in the duct for the HVAC.

Get out on the road, up to triple digits. Check rearview for no traffic behind.

SLAM on brakes.

Pick up phone from front of passenger footwell.

Is the duct made of metal? if so then that is it. I am considering cutting a small hole in the carpet and just grabbing the phone.

I lost a couple small tools in that same spot when installing my Dension module in the RT12. I haven't seen them since. Let us know how it turns out.

That's a pretty good story, I was trying to picture a compressor wheel eating a cellphone and spitting pieces out of the turbine... Good news is it's just stuck under the carpeting of the interior .

Just pull the seat (It's 4 bolts, you can do this without your mechanic) and pull it out from under the carpeting. There are openings in the carpet under the seat, it will be cake to pull it out. However, if you want easy and not to worry about what size sockets to use you can always let your mechanic do it.
