Tire Rubbing Mystery

I have a 2007 Turbo which came with aftermarket 20" rims. I recently put the stock wheels/tires back on and now the front tires are rubbing against the springs when the car is turning.

I don't believe these cars came with wheel spacers so I'm wondering what is the cause of the rubbing, maybe a wonky alignment or the car has aftermarket suspension parts or failures I don't know about. Any ideas?

By stock you mean 235/35-19 (8.5 width and 56mm offset)? If so, I'd suspect suspension issues. Let us know what you find out.

Are these coilovers? If so, give one of the tuners a call (TPC Racing, etc.) and ask them for a set of eibach front springs. They are much narrower than for example the Bilsteins and as such allow you to run wider wheels/tires.

Cheers.

Turns out -1 degree camber was too much for the stock 19" rims/tires but ok for the 20" combo, even with significantly wider tires.

Were both wheels rubbing or only the driver's side?

This just happened recently to me as well, although only on the drivers side.

And the damage it caused:
