Is 100db too loud?

Looking at a cat bypass exhaust. Car is mostly track oriented but I will be going for coffee on the weekends and driving about town as well. I can have the exhaust tuned to a specific DB level. I drive mostly at VIR/CMP/Road Atlanta but can't find any explicit limits on sound levels. Looking for something that has a good balance between performance/track/passion but isn't stupid when i am driving about town.

This is the FVD exhaust.

Thoughts/experience welcome.

Thanks

I wonder what the db level will be inside the car - if you look at the OSHA guidelines; you may need earplugs for prolonged exposure.

Will typically be wearing helmet when at wot. Earplugs easy if it is truly too loud.

My response was really just a public service announcement - i dont know much about cars but hearing loss is my expertise. OSHA suggests only 2 hours of exposure at 100db, 8 hours at 90 db. Helmet not much sound reduction; foam earplugs will reduce db by 20- 25 db and would be fine.

FVD definitely belongs to the louder exhausts. Did you check for Capristo? Soundwise very good and not as ridiculous expensive like the Akrapovic.
