Hit 2000 miles today. Then went full in on the go pedal for the first time. Then a full out launch control start. Holy **** what acceleration and g forces!! My ears started bleeding. My eyes flattened. My face looked like the astronauts' in the centrifuge. My innards squished against my backbone. The periphery started to go black. It was fantastic. The car was fun in the break in period below 4200 rpms, but unleashed it is one giant freakin' thrill.

I might be in the minority but I have never had a desire to do the "launch control" thing. How many have done that. Would be curious to see the data.

Was that before or after you released the break!

Congrats, man! Good for you for experiencing the car in the manner it was intended.

Congrats! Now go rack up the miles; you can't take it with you.

IMO the best part of buying low mileage preowned: someone else ate the depreciation and suffered the break-in.

It's an incredible experience isn't it! I really thought my Z06 was a fast car until I got the TTS, I'm taking it to a track day in a few weeks, that should even be more of a blast laying down 10's with a bone stock car. I understand what people say about the whole 6 speed vs PDK, but I for one think its awesome.

Gotta tell you guys about another new owner experience that blew me away. The weather was great today, clear and cool. My wife and I took the TTS up to the mountains early this morning to a favorite twisty road where I used to train on my bicycle for triathlon. Sunroof open, drove the car moderately hard, but with a safety first/protect the car approach. Once again, the performance, especially the acceleration, was mind boggling for a new owner. Used Sport Plus setting, while shifting the PDK with the paddles. The car was pretty easy to drive to that level. Balancing it under hard breaking and transitioning to the turn in was simple and the PDK was easy and lightning fast.
We stopped at a couple of mountain lakes to take photos (attached) before going at an easy pace up to a state park facility on the top of the tallest mountain in Georgia for more pics. At the bottom of that road were about a dozen guys standing around fast, modified cars. They froze when we went by. I gave a friendly wave and didn't think much more of it. You can guess what happened next. A modded up BMW (he said supercharged with susp. and brake mods) and a Corvette were soon on my tail. Of course I took the bait. Went harder than before up to the top with them behind. Although I am unfamiliar with that road, the TTS ate them up in the short and medium length chutes. I had to be extra careful on many of the unfamiliar blind curves, and they caught up on some of those, but the whole thing was an awesome experience and a blast for my first time out for serious play. I'm hooked.

I'm very interested in what your track results are, so please let us know when you do it.
