Lowering my '07 .1TT

What do I need to properly lower my '07 .1TT? What parts/brands?

Looking to get rid of the 4x4 look. And have a nice squat at the rear.

IMHO, the quality of your shop and the people working on your car are more important than the brand name of the parts you put into your suspension.

No scraping but you have to watch the front end at times no biggie don't think twice. The Springs were about $440 labor about $300.

Who did the install for $300? That's a great deal!

We have the H&R springs for just a bit less then you discussed earlier. For more information Click Here. That's a fantastic deal for the labor though.

We use H&R springs pretty much exclusively for the 997 Turbo. Over the past 6 or 7 years we've probably installed over 100 sets of them on PASM-equipped cars and have never heard a complaint. The ride in non-sport is very compliant and comfortable, maybe just a tad firmer then stock. Switch to sport mode and they're aggressive and firm. Typically, we do the whole job...cost of springs, installation, and complete alignment for around $1150.

Here's a few pics of cars we've done to give you an idea of what the stance is like:

Obviously the stance is awesome, but you will definitely have clearance issues. Eibachs aren't as low. Also, the known turbo issue is not solved; the car is too mushy on normal and too stiff on sport. I could imagine normal is better with Springs, but doesn't it bounce too much? With stiffer Springs, sport must be completely unusable. Adding the Bilstein b8(12?) shocks seems the perfect solution, but the shocks alone are 1800.

For a nice street solution, fixed Springs and Bilstein shocks seems like it would be the perfect solution. Adding sway bars, dog bones, etc could always be added later for even more performance .

You can always do the Bilstein PSS10 kit, too. It gives you the ability to adjust ride height and comfort also for the perfect height and feel. If you don't want to spring for coilovers, the H&R springs are most popular. Please give me a call if I can help!

Clearance issues are easily solved -- just buy a new front lip for $199 from Suncoast once a year

I scrape my front lip several times a week and really don't think twice about it.
