Spark plugs and coil packs.

So what plugs do you guys run without misfire issues?

Also I wanted to get new coil packs so at the moment the choice is BBI or EVOMS what do you recommend?

Cheers,

Nick.

Modified car? If so NGK BKR7E. BBI coils are great - I'm running OE 997 coils in my 996tt and they are operating fine.

I've run and am running Denso PK20PR-P8. They seem to work well. I have BBI coils just installed but not had a chance to push it. So far, so good.

I'm running the same plugs but I'm not sure if they are what you want unless you are running a tuned ECU. I think they are colder than eom's. Best,

I am also running the P8 Densos. I think those are best used when you are modded though. I am almost at 7,000 miles since the 775kit was installed and I thought next year I would replace the plugs and coils - probably with the same ones I have now as they seem to work great and without issues.

interesting topic, hope for more feedback.

I run stock software for now, but when I do replace my spark plugs I would be interested in using something that would be dual purpose if it exists. IE work with stock software, but also be useable with a tune...

Nick....we used stock plugs on every car we build.

On some of the larger displacement engines we've built running higher boost, we also used the BBI coilpacks for a stronger spark but STILL used the regular factory recommended plugs. So far they've held up to up to 30psi of boost and 850 HP at the wheels.
