Hey Dave,
The red wires are for fishing the 4 sensors back up through the engine bay. Once the stock exhaust is dropped, the sensors/sensor cables come with it and they are difficult to fish back through so you just tape the red wires to the sensor cables and pull them up as you place the new exhaust.
