I have a Kline and it doesn't drone. And unlike an ep, it doesn't sound like a garbage truck on start up. The idle is very calm and it has a great howl at higher rpm. If you are looking for a loud exhaust, this probably isn't the one. That said, I'm running mine with 200 cell cats. I could imagine it would still be perfect, but a bit louder catless. I think the x pipe design really eliminates the drone. I'm at the NY/CT border if anyone wants to hear it.

ryem3, I love to hear your car in person once the weather gets better. It would be nice to meet some 997tt brothers

Greetings Joe (?), am up in Saginaw, would love to hook up and see your TT, and later in spring to hear the new exhaust! Less than 2 hours away. I'll private msg you my contact info.

Well, that's fortunate to be able to experience the sound in person. Who will do the install?

Does anyone here looking at this thread have a Porsche dealer do a non Porsche exhaust install? Or will Porsche even do this kind of work?

Awesome. It's a daily for me. My favorite event is caffeine and carburetors in New Canaan. I'm around though!

Install at a dealer? They might do it. But you're probably looking at a $1k bill.

The ep doesn't sound like a garbage truck on start up at all, you've got that wrong. Actually the cold start sounds really great, I could listen to it all day long and I'm not the only one.

Stef people always need to bash other products to make themselves feel better about their purchase. You make a great product and never take the bait!

When it comes time you will have my business. In fact I found a 997.1TT owner in Stuttgart so in the Spring I will get to hear your exhaust in person!

I dont think he was bashing. I think he was stating an opinion. Just because you can buy a Kline for you and two friends for the price of a EP doesnt mean its bashing. Let the man have an opinion.

Red. I am back in LV and want to hear that Kline. I think I am gonna pullt he trrigger on it soon.

There was no need to mention the EP at all in his comment...it was a bash. Same "opinion" could have been stated by removing the "unlike EP" if he was just giving his opinion. People cant seem to ever be happy that someone else is enjoying a product other than what they have on their car.

You are local to him and probably a friend. No surprise you cant have a unbiased opinion of his comment.

Really..... Wow. I'm in the USA so I must know everyone. Oh and I think I have disagreed with ryem3, who is NOT my friend unlike you and your boy stef, more than agreed. Just like you are defending your friend and his overpriced metal. I don't have kline but it's your comments that ensure I won't get an EP and I hope everyone else realizes they can get an exhaust with no drone for way less money.

When you say that, i thnk ur trying to make urself feel good about ur purchase. Everyone has their own preference. Probly some ppl just like certain type of sound. And EP doesnt sound like a garbage truck at all if you ever have a chance owning one you will know what i mean. For the Kline, i was thnking about getting it and the video on youtube were awesome. I wish some owners cld upload soundclips so everyone could listen to them. All in all, Kline is a very good option for its price and it sounds really good. In fact, there must be a reason that many people love EP and support although its much more expensive than Kline. And Step@EP is a very nice guy to deal with.

Wow, this is like a turbo/GTR thread. Hey, I love a raucous cold start, but my neighbors don't. The EP comment was for comparison. I've heard the "garbage truck" expression so often from another board member, I had to use it here. I'll retract it. This is a pretty typical EP cold start:
This IS a Kline thread, after all. As I've said, a Kline is not the loudest out there. But the cold start is calm and won't annoy your neighbors - especially if you are in a parking garage.

LOL I am an American , you stated that you are "back in LV" which implies you are in the same city as Red who is the largest Kline supporter out there and since there aren't 100k 997TTs in Vegas it isn't a stretch to assume you knew him prior to making that post.

I don't know Stef other than 1 email that I sent and he replied to.

I think the Kline is a great alternative. I really think all Porsche exhausts are WAY overpriced for what you get but it is what it is.

Regarding the wait/delivery time for the Kline exhaust question, it was really quick. 2 Days if I remember correctly, drop shipped from the UK.
