Agree, no garbage truck sound. Cold start, however, does have a somewhat deep/raspy ok-sound, but is loud. To keep peace with neighbors, i switch to normal sound right away by stop/starting engine immediately on startup which shuts down the cold start sound. However, can't let a temporary loud startup sound spoil such a splendid sounding (absolutely trouble free) exhaust....at least I couldn't.
And besides, all soundclips i heard of various AM-exhaust cold-starts all seemed to have an extra loud raspy sound anyway.

The ep is a great exhaust, but it is a little loud on start up, that's the only reason I didn't get one this time around, I used to set off every alarm in the hospital garage! I wish stef would offer a quiet version like the 996tt version.

I have the Kline (199 cats) on my 997 turbo. Love it! It takes a few hundred kilometers to settle in with true exotic sound kicking in about 3K and a deep not too loud rumble below 3K. Sounds like a lambo is behind you - different and good quality.
