Modified Stock Suspension
Well, I received my DSC module yesterday - super fast turnaround - and installed it this morning. What other cool mod can you install in 5 minutes before even finishing your morning coffee?
WOW. The improvement/difference is not at all subtle. As many others have noted, the car immediately felt more planted and stable without being jarring or jittery (as in stock PASM sport mode). I left it in mode 2 this morning but will exercise all modes in the next few days.
Thanks Harris!

Overall I'm also happy with the system after the faulty unit was replaced. Car feel more grounded, yet to try out on the track n higher speed.

I have it on my 997.2TTS. When I first got my TTS, I noticed that the car was floaty in non PASM mode over undulating roads at speeds of 70-80 mph. The TTS also leaned in corners and felt not as planted in non PASM mode. On pot hole roads, the non PASM mode did soak up the irregularities rather nicely, but I just felt the car was not connected with the suspension. In transitional maneuvers, the car did not feel connected with the suspension and did not feel tight. In PASM mode, the car was less floaty, leans less, but not supple. It still did not feel connected with the suspension.
Enter TPC DSC. Upon installation, i noticed that the car was more firm in Mode 1, but not stiff. It still could soak up bumps and pot holes. Just more firm. But what impressed me was the car felt more planted in corners, transitional maneuvers, and undulating roads. It did not feel floaty, nor does it lean in corners as much. It just felt connected with the suspension. I find that the Mode 2 enhanced Mode 1 characteristics and IMO, gave the best of both world for me. Mode 3 felt firmer. To me, it felt like somewhere between Non PASM Bilstein Damptronic and PASM Bilstein Damptronics on my previous 997.1 C2S.

I finally got a chance to exercise the car on proper canyon roads this morning, and remain very pleased with the DSC module (as well as the Numeric shifter I installed at the same time.) The damping is more controlled and the car feels more stable, like the tire patch is staying in contact with the road better - as that's probably the case. I don't think it feels more cushy or GT-ish, actually the opposite, more sporty without being floaty or jittery as with the two stock PASM settings. It's noticeable just rolling down the road.
I found mode 3 to work best in the canyons, but have been leaving it in mode 2 almost all the time otherwise. Mode 3 seems to help turn-in and minimizes the bobbing and diving of the stock suspension. I still plan to do some other suspension upgrades later but the DSC has gone a very long way toward reducing bad "habits" in the stock setup.
Cheers,

Update on User-programmable DSC
Chris,
I previously bought the TPC turbo stage 2 kit for my 987.1 Cayman S; I worked with Tom at TPC. Now I have a 987.2 Cayman S and this thread has peaked my interest in the TPC DSC. However, I'm most interested in the user-programmable features you mentioned several posts back that was in the works and would be offered with this unit.
Do you have an update on that?
Also, as many have said that the blinking light is not an issue, I would still love for the option to just have a steady light. Any updates on that?
