CF Steering Wheel + CF Mirrors + LED Taillights + Custom Audio
CF Steering Wheel + CF Mirrors + LED Taillights + Custom Audio
Some new updates to my 997TT today:
>> DCT Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel: The quality is better than I expected and I really like how it feels in my hands. I'm very happy with the custom design that doesn't have the after-market look.
>> CF Mirrors: I have been sitting on these mirrors for a while now and finally got them installed at the same time with the steering wheel. They are super light and look good. Now that more and more exotics are using CF mirrors, I think Porsche should consider having a factory CF mirror option for 911 as well.
>> DelRey LED Taillights: DelRey installed the taillights for me and I think they look better in person. DelRey did a great job and I highly recommend their led units to anyone that is considering to change their lights.
>> DelREy audio installation: I think that the DelRey audio kit is as close as you can get to the factory look with an aftermarket system. The Kenwood user interface is light years ahead of the factory unit and DelRey did a perfect job with the professional installation. Now the only thing left is to install a USB wifi so that I can read my emails, send sms messages, etc.
Now, I'm waiting for the RoTtec carbon fiber stopwatch cover to complete the carbon fiber look with the mirrors and the steering wheel.Hopefully they will ship it this coming week.

Nice job on the mods, the new lights make a big difference. Now tint your windows.

It is funny that you mentioned tinting because I was just thinking about that. How dark did you go? Did you also go dark on the back window?
I went a little darker on the rear and corner windows and lighter on the doors. It is illegal in CA to tint the front windows but just keep it lighter and you won't have a problem. My tint is as dark as you can legally go in AZ.
The DCT steering wheel is awesome! I really like mine too. I like my stock audio system in my '09. I am not sure why everybody puts it down so much. I like the carbon fiber mirrors as well. Nice job!
The old audio is good in the 07/08 cars but the touch screen in the 09+ cars along with the option of the USB port is much better.
