Question 997 turbo facelift conversion gen2, Exhaust pipes

Hello,
I have tried to read up on some information about the conversion regarding the facelift conversion to gen 2 from gen 1, i currently have everything, the lights, the new rearbumper, bumperbracket, the box for the lights, the new tailpipes.

The problem is that the new gen 2 exhaustpipe is centered while the old is not centered, so the pipes will not fit with the new rearbumper, i have read that it has to be modified a bit, but how? Do you guys have any tips how it should be done?

This is what i want:

The attached file is my car, but the gen2 bumper will not fit where the exhaust pipes are.

You must modify the exhaust but is not so easy and not so good for the car .

So you mean that i have to cut/weld and move the exhausthole in the exhaust box? Not the exhaustpipes?

i would imagine it to be a relatively easy job for an exhaust shop to do. Cut the existing tip to which the tailpipe attaches, weld a piece a tube in between and it should fit perfect.

Alternatively, aftermarket tips are a good alternative. Best of luck!!

Besides not being centered, the .2TT exhaust tips are 65mm while the .1TT are 60mm

Your best option is to buy .1TT aftermarket tips.
Personally i don't like this option, the exhaust surrounds are too big.

2nd option is to modify your exhaust (cut and weld) so it is centered with tips and bumper.

I have the Techart tips (dirty tips in below pic). There are other dual tip exhausts in the market like fabspeed but they are generally round tips.

I was using a fabspeed exhaust tip that fit relatively well when I went from .1-.2 bumper.

Good luck, this conversion is awesome. I like the stock .2 exhaust tips too, so I hope you figure out a solution.

I had europipe 1 and I made the led conversion in my car but they told me not to make the welding and cuting solution because maybe with this to change the pressure of the exhaust and somethink else,is not good for the car, someone who knows here maybe he can clime and tell us for sure.
Finally I put aftermarket tips and you have 2-3 solutions.

I'm not suggesting for you to do this, but would it work if you just got the whole 997.2 exhaust?

Okay thank you for your input, my thought was if anyone have tried it and could tell me if it was a good or bad idea. Yes i have seen thoose aftermarket exhausttips but i dont like that design.

I am thinking about designtek, anyone have tried them? http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod15...che-997-Turbo/

I would like theese also but they are to pricey: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151241981590...torefresh=true

I am not sure, the engines are not the same but it might be a possibility? But in that cause i would just buy another aftermarket exhaust. So for now i am looking for just the tips.
