Best OEM shift ****?

I have this oem carbon shift ****.

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product..._shiftknobsman

It looks great, but I find that it doesn't feel "solid". You can kind of "squeeze" the CF in a bit. I think it's just the way these things are made. This may not bother some people but I notice it. Does anyone else feel this way with their shift *****?

Looking for an OEM replacement. I don't have any other alcantara on my car so a shift **** with alcantara won't match.

yeah, even at $450 for a used one seems ridiculous to me. A tiny piece of CF and made for a Porsche, you have to pay to play.

My 2011 mustang had a heavy metal ball shift ****. Best **** ever. The CF porsche **** feels like a flimsy piece of plastic and has no weight.

Yah, if I could get something like this in my Porsche I bet shifting would be a lot more enjoyable. Sad that Ford can get this right on a $30k car and Porsche gives us a hunk of plastic in a $140k car. Are there even any aftermarket ***** for the 911?

This is what I'll be getting. The price is reasonable as well and the fit is spot on.

yeah I bet that rennline **** feels really sweet. thing is, I want something that solid but oem. I'm a stickler for oem unless there are no other options.

Check out the Gemballa short shifter on the avalanche 997. It's exactly what you and I are looking for. There are no similar OEM options that I have seen.

gulftser is an unknown quantity at this point
I have this shift **** on my 997 4S and love it. The quality is excellent. For the price I just don't think it can be beat:

http://www.function-first.com/produc...sic-shift-****

If you get the silver shaft with aluminum **** and do silver shift pattern color it looks OEM or at least designed for the car. Very clean, classic minimalist look. IMHO the other colors look a little cheesy.

I will say that it is heavier than stock and throws will be a *tiny* bit slower and more deliberate
