True- but no BT audio streaming, and the GPS isn't the greatest. Honestly, if it had BT audio streaming, I would live with the GPS.

Yeah, the Bluetooth and lack of HD Radio are the worse. We have some great secondary HD radio stations in Northern California. Also, been spoiled with backup sensors and cameras for too long.

I recently changed out my factory PCM for a kenwood (ddx991hd) I love it. Much better interface. Good Bluetooth for phone and audio. Back up camera and front camera are going in soon.

I kept the factory PCM so when I sell if someone really wants this unit back in I can do so with ease.

I guess this debate is similar to those worries about an ecu flash or modified exhaust etc. Not all mods will be for everyone. Do what makes YOU happy while you own the car. Worry about resale when the time comes. I highly doubt you'll have a hard time selling Down the road
Yeah, I know, but it is a weird place between just enjoying the crap out of your car or worrying about how to move it for the next, best thing.

Though the only next, best thing I can see ever owning is a $200K 991 TTS.

No big deal but if you bring it in for service, let the mechanic know so he doesn't suspect there's a problem somewhere.

i've been in OPs shoes many times. double dins are very nice but over time the non oem look starts to boher me. i dont know what it is, it just does. also a lot of aftermarket audio system introduce electrical issues down the line.

Has worked great for me in many vehicles to add streaming capability.

Just picked this up...it works great! Now if anyone has a backup camera solution

I know, I know, I am just super lazy and love the ease of the backup camera.

Most of the errors are errors where there is a lack of communication with the steering column.
I'll get the list tomorrow an post them.

It only leads to some errors with the PCM module. No big deal IMO. Have had mine at the dealer several times and it wasn't an issue.

To the op's question:

The OEM PCM units in these cars were dated when they left the factory - so glad I swapped mine out.

It is easy to go back to stock if you want, just keep your PCM and spend an hour or two at most removing the aftermarket head unit and NAV TV module.
