93oct...

Ok so for the pat few days I've been thinking about my next group of mods..and as much as I want e85 set up..it's just not that popular were I live...and I wouldn't want to drive to areas looking for gas......so I've Bennett looking for max h.p on 93 oct....I know stock block is safely good for 650-700 whp....and after searching I've found posts about champion vtgs..been tuned to 800whp on 93 oct..so my qustion is what's max safe power on any kit being used on 93oct...that includes 3.8 -3.9 4.0 stroker kits....

If the engine is built 900whp+ on pump should be fine.

The issue with running pump gas at the power level that high is that you will need a very large turbo. It will be very laggy if you stay a 3.6. You would need to go to a 4.0 or stay 3.6 and run pump E85.

I buy a 55 gal. drum of Sunoco 100 unleaded race fuel since it's not readily available where I live and one of the local shops stores it for me. I mix it with 91 octane pump gas, which is all we get here at altitude, for about a 95 octane blend and use that for just driving around. While at the track it's straight 100 octane as that's very cheap insurance compared to the cost of rebuilding motors........
