997tt vs zr1 vs gtr
I've been considering a 997tt,I already drove the Gtr and zr1
Loved both of them how is the 997 with bolt ons are they high maintenance
Anyone with a bolt on turbo please comment
Or someone who had a zr1 or gtr and switched

At the end of the day it's a Nissan and a chevy...spend your money on a porsche....my modded turbo is a freak that launches like a space ship...can't say enough about the quality of the interior....I like little details...all are great cars in there own way but porsche wins it for me....

Before I bought my 997 GT2, I drove a 2010 ZR1. My reaction was that it was slow getting out of the hole and wasn't the violent kind of acceleration I wanted. It also seemed like it was like driving a desk down the road - really wide. The price was not so much less as to make that a factor. I have no experience with a GTR.

I have a GTR and Turbo S, they drive very different. GTR is very comfortable and seating position is like a normal car. I don't feel special driving it, so I tend to use it more often; it just feels very normal. People definitely notice it more though, most people don't look twice at the Porsche. I occasionally get mobbed in the GTR, mostly by kids. The Porsche rides very stiff and you sit down low. The GTR is deceivingly quick, the Porsche hits you from behind and lets you know it. I personally like the Porsche more, but if I had to choose one to be my only car, I may pick the GTR.

well throughout the year I was debating on a 2012+ gtr, 2015 z06 corvette, and 997.1 turbo basically same price for all 3. I decided on a 997 turbo yellow cab because well it's a Nissan i had a 350z Nissan services are horrible, and did some research gtr don't seem too reliable. As for z06 I didn't want to wait and I was thinking a gm and a porsche I'm sure the 997 will hold better value in 5 to 8 years also i rather own a porsche than a corvette. I had a z06 so same general design so i will compare 997 to zr1. Have no gtr experience.
The vette was an absolute beast, and that was just the z06 not zr1. The z had A LOT better hp/weight ratio and it was noticeable. The z was a more wild ride and felt like it was on the verge of out of control (although it was still controllable and predictable). It just felt insane. Although i dont have experience with the zr1 i would rather have a z07, z06 (z06 with zr1 body, brakes, suspension). The LS7 was that good. 7k rpm redline with 427 cubes.
The 997 makes it all seem easy. It's almost as fast but not quite the same (unless you mod). It feels like its on rails and the steering, shifting, and suspension are all amazing. The 997 does have a backseat and awd if that matters and is much better in the rain. U can also get an auto in the p car. Contrary to what ive heard from others and read, i feel like the "limit" is harder to interpret in the 997 meaning i feel more timid while driving it but i havent owned it nearly as long as i did the vette.
I have taken friends for rides and let them drive both. They admit that the vette is faster and scarier making it more thrilling but the 911 is a nicer/better car and besides the wild ride the 911 feels better in all other visceral categories.
Really they are different cars.

I believe on this forum it will be an obvious vote for the turbo. As others have stated, all three choices are great cars. IMO, it really boils down to which does it for you as soon as you walk up to it. Certainly you need to get a little seat time in all of them, but all three are very fast and each can be made to go even quicker with a little cash.
For me, I love the turbo as a complete package. I love the AWD twin turbo, wide body, brand pedigree, fit and finish, etc. It is a special car in my eyes and a special model in the lineup of Porsche vehicles. Same can be said for all three options.
Until it's an obvious choose for you…wait.
