Hey guys,
The front lip spoiler on my car is beat so it's time for a new one.
I'm not a huge fan of the OEM one for the TT. I love how the GT2 and GT3 ones look but can't seem to find something similar for the TT.
I'm not looking for a carbon fiber one or a painted one as it takes a beating on my car since I'm so low.
The previous owner of my car did add a small lip to the spoiler which makes it look unique and I haven't been able to find any other examples of it.
If I can't find something that I like, I'll just order a new one from Suncoast.


So...what options are out there for the front lip spoiler?

Replica on eBay...was $175 but not sure of current pricing. Lots of good reviews.

 

Looks like they tripled their price to $600....for that price difference I would go OEM.

 

Many of us purchased lips on ebay from a company named 4caroption. Original price was $149 and eventually rose to $199. When they are out of stock they raise the price to $600 to use the listing as a place marker until they can restock. I've noticed however that there are several other ebay sellers who offer what appears to be the same lip at $199.

I'm not looking for an oem TT lip. I'm looking for alternatives.
Something that looks similar to the GT2 or GT3.
Must be polyurethane so it can handle some abuse without cracking.

 

The aero kit lip is like the GT2 lip.

 

Drew, If you scan through the long thread that 93ls1rx7 provided you will find that this after market lip is not oem style it is more like the aero lip. there are also some pictures in that thread that show what it looks like installed.

Not sure what you mean. The GT2 spoiler is smaller than the are kit spoiler.

I was looking for a GT2 lip also, but the only one I could find was the aero kit front lip on eBay, fitment seem okay so far. I am not sure the Gt2 lip would fit on our TT though.

 

I did the ebay aero copy and plastidipped it. Looks fine. Cant beat 199 bucks for something that will get beat up the way they do.

 

+1 on the eBay one - I picked one up and it is a bit more beefy than the OEM. Mine is getting painted currently, then i plan to clear bra it and see how it holds up... also picked up a CF one that i will clear bra and rotate between the two of them depending on how i feel that day.

 

Check 9FF 997 turbo front lip .. Looks good

 

Any info? I can't seem to find any
