Settled for Techart Racing Exhaust, but not happy

After doing some research on exhaust systems, I decided to replace the existing quiet Techart exhaust on my 997.2 Twin Turbo for the Techart Racing.

Maybe get the HJC 200 cel cats. I went from a cat-less set up to them, it's not as loud thats for sure, but it sound very good.

Give me a call Monday yellow. I will see if I can call Ron or help you figure something out. We can see what the best way to resolve your issue will be. It sucks to spend so much and still be scratching your head. I bet we can get it right.

Sound is so subjective - what sounds good to you may not sound good to me - sorry to hear you're disappointed...maybe time/miles will have an effect on the sound. Maybe someone with a similar setup will respond with their experience. I refuse to buy an aftermarket exhaust without hearing the exhaust in person - sound clips don't do it for me. Let us know if your sound improves.

Thanks Sam. At that price I expect to be hear it a bit. To hear the loud I have to Rev it high rpm just to hear a bit of sound which is not even loud. $6500 is a lot of money for just the center piece muffler only to only be disappointed.

What if they changed the cats to the high flow cats? I was told that I won't need to do that and that the muffler is the magic piece to increase the sound.

Yellowbmr, I'm sorry to hear of your TA issue, that's unfortunate and you should never have to trim a bolt on exhaust. If you end up starting over again, give me a call or message, I feel we can help solve your problem. The 997.2TT is a quieter platform than previous generation turbos and requires a little more effort to get the sound out. We have a 3" exhaust option for the 997.2TT that wakes it up very well and it's a direct bolt on in every sense of the word. No cutting, drilling, etc. Keep us in mind if you end up starting over...
