Thanks for the response, you definitely drive the streets harder than I do (what will pass in Taipei certainly won't here in NJ, USA...LOL). Your cold street tire pressures are what I set at the track in my Cup 2s! I run 34/37 cold for the street. Glad to hear that tire wear is quite even and there aren't any noticeable handling characteristics on the street with that set up.

I like your brief review of the Tractives, however I will likely start with TPC's front wide track kit to start. The "other bits", I was referring to were rear toe links. Looking forward to your review of the Tractives on the track. This has been very helpful. Thanks

I hope nothing hits that thing!

I'm confused about this sump. Does your car not have the turbo Mezger dry sump engine?? Keep an eye on the shocks. One of our local guys has been running the Tractive shock set up for a little over a year and all 4 shocks are weeping heavily. Might be just bad luck but something to keep an eye on.

997.2 Turbo's/Turbo S's are the 9A1 engines not Mezger.

What do you mean by weeping heavily? Like it's leaking oil?

Before I bought the shocks one concern was reliability versus well known brands like JRZ, Ohlins etc. I definitely believe in Tractive's technology (DDA valving, etc) but they haven't been around long enough to build a track record on reliability yet. Knock on wood!

Wow, I didn't realize that. So the 9A1 engines are not dry sump?? Bummer, especially if you track your car as none of the deep sumps ever work as well as a true dry sump. Yes, all the shocks are leaking oil at the top. Not heavily, but enough to leave an oily residue.

It's an "integrated dry sump" as Porsche calls it, but it's a very well tested one. TPC has raced these engines on slicks without any oil starvation issues. I'm very comfortable knowing that. But that being said, nothing ever replaces a true dry sump.

I'll report back on reliability of the shocks in due time.

I highly recommend the wide track kit. I think they sorted this the right way instead of just wheel spacers. It's the proper way to widen the front track I think. Yes it's kind of expensive but I would pay for things to be done properly.

And you're in NJ... lucky you. They're local.

Yes, I drove down to TPC in October last year. A great trip and awesome guys to talk shop with. That said, local is relative...they are in Maryland (a bit under 3 hrs away) but I guess that's pretty much local vs. coming from Taiwan!! Thanks again.
