+1 because of the numerous reports of lines swelling with BBI I went with the tried and tested Evoms kit and have been really happy with it.

I love my BBI conversion. Clutch is perfect.

My first 997 had the BBi kit with all the usual issues. My current car has the GT2 slave with zero issues. It’s also a little less stiff, but minimally so. I’m happier with the GT2 kit, but if you’re aware of the BBi issues and replace the other parts needed proactively I think it’s fine as well.

Did the BBI conversion on my 04 996 X50. Changed the clutch assist spring to the GT2. You will also need the reservoir cap indicating dot 4 brake fluid as opposed to pentosin. I also installed a new clutch master cylinder as the car has 60K miles on it, this was somewhat difficult as I am not a small bodied person... had to remove the seat :-(. Anyhow, as an end result I am as happy as a clam, car is now a dream to drive.

I'm running the EVOMS kit. It came highly recommended by both a Porsche OEM service center and tuners I work with. Haven't had any issues with it. Great little upgrade.
