997.2 Turbo - Loss of turbo pressure

Hi guys!
I am from Brazil and just registered in the forum!
I bought 3 months ago a beautiful cream white 997.2, the car is everything that I always wanted. It has done all maintenance at the Porsche dealer and it is 12.000 miles old.
I read here an old post about a "not very often" loss of boost pressure, but it seemed the "case" never had a final solution, since some members were suggesting that it could be loose clamps to oily sensors.
Have anyone, here, experience anything similar??? It happend to me 3 times since I bought the car, the turno looses it pressure and won't go higher tha 0.2 bar. The "problem" is temporary "solved" by turning the engine off and turning it back on again. The dealer scanned the car and nothing pups up!!!
Any help is appreciated!!!

Guys, sorry for my English!!!

Check your boost hoses. Could be a boost leak.

Given the fact that it is intermittent and cycling the ignition corrects it...I would say it is likely not a loose hose. If you have no CEL, I would check the VTG actuators. Could have a sticky rod, or ball that when recycled, goes back to rest? Worth checking. Faulty/sticky diverter/recirculating valve could also be an issue...two relatively easy items to check.

Good luck,
DC

+1 on sticky or faulty actuators or diverter valves, If it was a boost leak it would be consistent.

I would replace the diverter valves with originals, check the actuators and carry out a leak test for added comfort.

It is very easy to make your own leak tester me and the rock each have a simple DIY thread, worth giving it a look.

Goodluck, update us on how it goes.

Hi guys!

Thanks for the help! I am taking back the car to the Porsche dealer and take your "words" to the shop chief. I am really worried about it. It is a 2010 turbo, but it shouldn't be presenting this problems...
I will let you guys updated!

Thanks a lot!

Check the items others have already mentioned and you will be good to go, good thing is it will be an easy fix!

Investing in some type of a boost pressure test is always a good idea, just to rule out that possibility!
