Intercoolers for 997.1

i know the GT2RS units are great bang for the buck intercoolers for the 997.1 , but have an opportunity to swap my stockers for some AMS Alpha , are they really that much better to justify the price difference of about $1100 ? for reference my car is an E85 car with stock turbos .

Anything is better than stock (besides chinese intercoolers which seem to be a hit or miss) $1100 is a steal. AMS is top notch

AMS would be my choice, but there's also the SRM ICs, TPC, Protomotive, GMG, AWE, Forge, Champion, etc.

Yes, more than worth the difference, remember the ams is a kit turbo to throttle body not just coolers ...

Remember always pressure test new or used...

Good luck ..

Doubt that would work ... The AMS Ypipe is shorter than the stock and stock hoses wont work with the coolers ...

Not to hijack but I would also like to know. There literature seems promising and price is reasonable.

here is a simple upclose pic of the BELL cores I've been using for ICs since 2004.. as you see, both are 4.5" but one has denser fin design on the inlet side... One is for high flow big power the other for high heat dissipation with moderate HP/boost.
My point is, and not trying to hijack the tread, there is a tremendous difference between cores sold on the market.
choose wisely.... ask questions, educate yourself so you make a conscious decision. Btw, ams coolers are a lot better then gt2rs...
best
markski
