Very bad accident with 997 Turbo cabrio in Greece
Saw that a little earlier and four people died unfortunately. Two were in the Porsche and two were in the parked car it hit.

Sad indeed. The saddest part is the mother with her child parked innocently along the side of the road and here comes someone who thought it had the world in his hands. Sad either ways.

I am of Greek descent been watching this on the news last few days.
He was the son of the owner of the toys r us equivalent in Greece. Very wealthy family. Was educating himself in Miami. Went home for a visit and took his dad's 911 out. May have apparently been racing an R8 as one pulled over after the accident to help. Had 05/06 V rated winter tires on it. Hit the structure and car at approximately 280kmh.
Driver and passenger of 911 died. Passenger ejected 50 plus feet. Mother and son in the other car died instantly. Basically no one was identifiable when it was all said and done.
Ironic part is there were Jumbo bags ( the toys r us equivalent ) in the car of the family and the father who was using the facilities during the accident was a huge car buff and Porsche lover and had all kinds of posts on his Facebook of Porsches from a recent car show he was at.

And thought a bomb went off was in shock didn't know what happened ., then you have two spoiled punks that took the poor mans family , when they were doing nothing . Sitting parked !
Hope the guys in the Porsche rot in hell! I guess the media and everyone else only care about the millionaires son as so it seems, and then, oh a mother and child lost their lives but meh no big deal ...
Being Greek living there for years , all this is just to common .

Agreed. Everyone on here has stretched the legs of their cars. That was just a terrible accident. The roads in Greece are brand new and there is no one on them. When I am down there I cruise at 160-180kmh in a 4 cyl Mercedes and I am keeping with the flow of traffic.
The father of the deceased family never laid any blame at all. He actually gave his condolences to the other families as they lost their children as well. Also mentioned that on those roads if he had that car he would also be speeding. I can assure you anyone on this forum with a 911 would top their cars out in those roads. When you are staring at perfect roads with miles and miles of visibility with no one on them I can assure you that you would stretch the legs of your car. Now if you happen to blow a tire while doing that, it's unfortunate and dangerous and can only hope for the best. Unfortunately luck wasn't on his side after the tire blow it. For him and the others.
