Wanted to give a shout out to Boost Logic for putting together a nice power package including: upgraded turbos, Alpha 5.5 ICs and related piping, headers, titanium BL fabricated exhaust, twin disk clutch and a custom tune. The car makes great power - just shy of 700whp/650wtq and is a blast to drive. They have worked with me on the tune and I think they have just about nailed it. The car sounds great and runs like a mf'er. I am very pleased with the results. Now I need new tires.

Turbos are Xona Rotor/Tial 3076 (I believe). BL was vague on the spec details and I was an uneducated consumer.

 

Did they tune your car too? Or did you have it remote tuned?

 

Boost Logic tuned the car.

I wonder why BL makes the exhaust with 1/4 wave resonator with a X in it? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of how they work?

Quick update. I've spent the past couple of months working with and waiting for BL to fix some outstanding issues with this build. Some they have fixed and others they have attempted to fix but have not. I finally lost my patience and I took the car to another shop. I believe I have been more patient than most other people would have been under the circumstances. Lord knows I paid plenty for a complete package that performs well. I hope to have some good news soon and I will update this thread as I learn more.

 

What are the issues? Are you on stock motor ?

 

Main issue is random intermittent power loss across the board. PSM also seems to kick in (with PSM turned off) under hard acceleration in 1st and 2nd. Stock motor. I also took a ride in a 2007 TT with supposedly similar power levels and my TT doesn't pull nearly as hard. Not a happy customer.

 

So you went from happy customer to unhappy

 

Did you try logging it?

Maybe it's running low boost or you have a boost leak ...

 

Lots of logging ... and back and forth with BL. They either don't know what they're doing or too busy to care.
