997TT aluminum water pipe off problem
#5
There are a bunch of different posts with varying amounts of information, but their seems to be 3 lines of thought on this repair:
1. De-glue, clean up and re-glue
2. De-glue, clean up and re-glue AND pin by drilling a hole in the outside housing and into the fitting, cut a thread in the outside housing and run a screw (of appropriate dimensions) to engage the fitting and prevent it from being ejected from the housing
3. De-glue, clean up and weld
I have yet to see a detailed write up on the exact procedure for pinning, but that is the way I am leaning when I tackle the project.

Looks cool, but that is beyond my garage mechanic's tools or capabilities.
I am pretty certain I can do re-glue and pinning, but this looks like you would need something special to cut those threads.
