E85 flex fuel capability

I’m guessing there is no way to have flex fuel capability with the stock ECU? What are the options as far as aftermarket ecu’s? I know there is ProEFI, we have been running e85 for 10 years in my brother’s Supra. I would like to have flex fuel capability due to E85 around here being anywhere from 70-85%. Thanks

Syvecs is an option.

ESmotor installed it on my car.

Also AIM performance did quite few E85 997.1

There's been no confirmation that the stock ECU is not capable of flex fuel with the appropriate code/ROM development done to enable such a function, but that fact remains that the market for it is very, very small (and therefore unlikely to happen). Grab an AccessPort and flash back and forth between the two is the best mobile option right now short of going standalone.

on e85, my range is about 160 miles per full tank. For a long drive I was able to fit two 5 gallon fuel jugs into the front trunk. Realistically you won't be switching around fuel types often enough to need flex fuel, and you shouldn't tune for the ragged edge of ethanol content anyway. Buy a fuel test kit and figure out which local gas station has the highest ethanol content fuel and use that:

Syvecs has flexfuel capability.- that is what I use in my car. I don't see Flexfuel coming to stock ECU any time soon even though it is possible with this ECU.

I think it's E85 that's "bad" not the ProEFI - engine wasn't designed to run E85 on a regular basis. I wouldn't buy a 997 that has run E85...but that's just me.

nothing bad or wrong with using E85 in this engine.

We went from running race gas to E85 in the Supra 10 years ago and have had zero problems. The E85 is used up and the car gets put away with 93 every winter. Haven’t had any problems with ProEFI either, and use traction control, anti lag, flex fuel etc

Nothing basically bad with the ProEfi, its one of few ems out there that actually is fully can integrated, its the goto for LS swaps into 996/997 cars for a reason, in the hands of a capable tuner it will do everything you need and more. But, unless you get it for a bargain there is no reason to go with it (or AEM's infinity) if buying new, the syvecs is just a better bang2buck deal ...

Some details:
New, a basic Proefi PnP setup would run 4-4.5K$ .. Basic 112 setup no flexfuel or hd coils, this kit only logs with a laptop, 1K$ for their screen to log into a usb! Same with AEM basic setup harness and ems is 4.5K$ without any sensors.

Now, a basic S6+ runs around 4.5K$ too (S6/harness/noid/fuelp/map/egt's), you dont need too many extra sensors since it runs on all stock sensors, and it logs all the time internally (not an option) for upto 8hrs ... Faster processor, better support, its just a better system on paper and in reality ...

Cheers
