Who s going for Tip/manual?
The decision is driving me nuts. It's like you have to choose between more passion or better performance, two things which should always go together.
I'm waiting for more info to trickle out, and may even have time to wait until the first user reviews come out. I'm actually hoping not to hear from my dealer that it's time to order

I have a feeling that the performance advantage is only for straight line, and it makes a bit of sense espeically since the new turbo technology is being used.
For normal performance I would assume that the manual would be faster, as the tiptronic could never be as fast as manual shifting...my problem will be when the PDK comes out, because I have no doubt that will be faster in both respects...

Stick, even if tip wins in the straight line, if the tip functions anything like the transmission in my old Cayenne TT I would not want it, unless you were flooring the car (which is sometimes not feasible on backroads) the thing would upshift too soon at low speeds and RPMs, it would select 4th gear at 35 mph. I would prefer the control of a stick.
I love the PDK idea, the manual seems better for high speed runs since it is a 6 speed versus the 5 speed tip. It's not all about straight line performance. I don't see many of you 911 TT owners doing drag races at street lights! Racing on the roll is where the big boys go.
