Weight of a 2007 997 Turbo - with full tank of gas

I am curious as to what other peeps have weighed their car at.

I filled up the tank (seems it holds 17.5 gallons) and I was able to tip the scale at 3,460 lbs.

Calculating that a gallon of gasoline is about 6.3 lbs., that would put it at a dry curb weight of 3,350 lbs.
I don't have rear seats (those weight nothing), have a roll cage and have replaced my seats for GT3 seats.
Tons of mods to the car, but non that would affect weight that much. I do have a sun roof though, which I probably haven't opened in 9 years. LOL.

Share your weight!

That's interesting, I thought these were closer to 3500lbs without a full tank of gas.

Making the switch from the stock seats to the GT3 manual seats, made a WORLD of a difference. I know I easily saved 100+ lbs. by making that switch. I probably gained a bit with the cage but I also don't have an exhaust (straight pipes).

My 2007 Turbo was 3360 lbs with a 1/4 tank of gas and 2 child car seats in the back.

I weighed in at 3500 on a scale in Colorado Springs, had a quarter tank of gas.

Loaded up the car and a roof rack and drove it across the country, weighed in at 4240 in Georgia.

I don't think I had 40 lbs worth of fuel in the car...

Mine came in lighter at ~3350 lbs than the Porsche published base weight as well - I attributed that to having PCCB, LWSB and aerokit (no tail spoiler hydraulics/pump/etc.).

Another factor that I'm uncertain of is what is the tolerance/error on these weigh scales at only ~3500 lbs when they're designed (and calibrated?) to weigh fully loaded semis ?

Nice. I would love to get seats like that. But good luck finding them in Sea Blue...

Yes I was surprised to find my car had them in something non-Black which was Stone Grey (have the two tone Black/Stone Grey interior).
