Hang on to your 997 turbos!
I never thought about selling my car but now I wonder if it’s a good time. Not sure what else I’d get. The newer 911’s don’t do it for me and what I’m really craving these days is the M5 competition! Totally different car but I’d certainly use it more since it seats 4.
hoping to keep the 911 and get the comp for now.

For manual transmission cars, is anyone else surprised that .2 cars sell for so much more? I understand the improvements that were made for 2010-2013, but I thought the Mezger might balance things out in terms of desirability/values. I personally think that over time values will even out and after more time the Mezger .1s will be more valuable. At least that’s what I hope!
I understand the .2 premium for NA cars. Objectively more reliable car and far fewer produced. The .1 and .2 turbos are so similar, I struggle to see the premium for the .2. The history behind the Mezger is so strong. At some point in time I could see that playing a larger role in the value of the .1s.

Have a 997.1 Turbo coupe with MT and a 997.2 Turbo S Coupe with PDK. Enjoy them both equally. That said, was thinking of offloading the .1 as I just picked up a ‘16 GT4. Loving that one too. Also enjoy my 996 Turbos with MT (coupe tracker and cab cruiser). All of these are increasing in value. Need to remind the wife…
