low boost in 997.1 turbo
hi guys ..i have a 997.1 turbo..heavy modded..and i need your help
My car loose boost pressure ..this moment run at 0.8 bar and normally must run at 1.65bar overboost..i have no CEL..and everything seems to be ok..no missfire or something else..i checked and we found that ..left turborchargers has 1.0 bar and the right one 0.7bar!!!..external seems ok..
unfortunately my tuner have died and i cant unlocked the dme/ecu to see what and if something happpens...any idea whats going wrong???

Check either side boost hose connections for leak. Also you can connect with the DME/ecu manufacturer (if it is an aftermarket DME/ecu) and the can help unlock. Normally there is also aa process to "reset" the due/ecu. But then you will have to find a new tuner to retune your car...
i checked..everything seems and moving freely

I know Markski has retuned cars that were done by another tuner. I’ve given up on mine and will take it in this coming week. I’ve done boost test twice, very low leak, replaced rubber connector at Y pipe, replaced some funky rubber tube, etc. no joy.
thanks, but quite difficult to send my car to Marski as i am not from US..so your opinion is that maybe have boost leak to check it again or the problem will be from ecu to retune it??

in the past I’d sent Markski just the brain box behind the passenger parcel shelf. He doesn’t need the car. But do try checking for a boost leak, that is always step one. There are instructions on making the tester out of PVC pipe, which is what I did. Take care though, they can pop out under pressure if not clamped TIGHTLY.
οκ..thanks..a lot...i will ckeck again tomorrow everything for any boost leak and i will let you know guys

guys..i checked everything ..no boost leak at all..i changed any hoses and measurement the turborchargers again ..i have 0.7-0,8 boost pessure each so i must see 1.5bar..but again i cant see more than 0.7bar..do you think will be something wrong from.ecu?
You have multiple areas to look at, the mechanical (able to hold boost pressure & you checked your variable actuators) it seems that you have already done that. The electrical which could be sensors or your tune.
If I were you, I would be trying to interrogate the ECU and pull some numbers to see what might be off. Unfortunately, my number one suggestion seems to be out of your reach, namely going back to a stock tune, so you really need information in order to diagnose what is going on.
It sounds like the car used to run as expected and now it does not, so something changed. If you have made no mechanical changes to the car, then it would be a reasonable assumption (I know about assumptions) that something has failed. What you need to do is determine what may have failed. These engines have a lot going on and they depend on all things working correctly to run as expected. MAF's, vac leaks, boost leaks, actuator problems and maybe even O2 sensors and things I may not even know about could be factoring in to why you are not boosting as you should.
From what I have read, your computer thinks something is out of synch, and if you can log some values, you should be able to determine what. Have you pulled any values for you MAF's? I have read some posts where bad MAF's have caused boost issues.
This is why whenever I go with a tune, it will be with someone I can trust and who will be able to help diagnose what is going on with the engine AND be able to take it back to stock for troubleshooting.

Hello,
If you have 0,7 bar from each turbo, it doesnt mean you should get 1,4-1,5 bar. Pressure doesnt increase like that. Its not qty, its pressure.
So total boost is 0,7 in your case.
Whats the detail of your full setup? Turbos, plumbing, boost controller info etc.. There are lots of details.
