Help with codes: P0068 & P1072

Hi all,

Car is 2011 Turbo and recently installed 68mm turbos. Current mods are champion intercoolers, Cobb tuner, ipd plenum, and euro pipe exhaust. Currently car is throwing a P0068 and P1072 and I can’t figure out what the issue is.

I’ve done a smoke test...no leaks found.
Done a pressure test...also no leaks found.
Recalibrated throttle body...still throwing codes.

The weird thing is that these codes only show up at idle. If I clear them and immediately take off nothing code wise pops up until I stop at a light and hit idle. I can go to full boost and everything up to that point but once codes pop I’m limited to 3 psi.

Here’s a screen shot off the durametric.

I went looking and could find nothing on a P1072 error (could this be one of those reversed code things?). Are there any more descriptive elements to the codes?

Do you get the code when you are in Sport mode? (does the .2 have Sport mode?)

Anyway for the throttle error, one of the things I saw was running the throttle adaptation, which you have done already. It's a long shot, but maybe cleaning the MAF's might change behavior. While I wasn't getting either of those codes, I saw some MAF cleaning suggestions as part of the P0068 code and cleaning the MAF's solved my weird idle problem.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. I'll do some more looking, but knowing whether that first code is accurate or not would be helpful.

Unfortunately couldn’t find too much more on the codes. P1072, from what I found, points to the P0068 happening in the lower RPM range.

The codes come up in normal, sport, and sport plus mode.

I’m running a stage 3 tune with Cobb 3 bar MAP sensors but when I got the codes I installed the stage 2 tune and put the stock sensors back in...codes still showed so I switched back to the stage 3 again. It’s worth a shot though. I’ll stop by the store and get some cleaner today.

Hi, not sure where you found those pdf's. Not sure if you still on this forum. I got a P0068 along with P1070. If possible, can you locate the page for P1070 troubleshooting?

This code is killing me...

Hi,

I do not have info concerning P1070.
I added the codes (I have) listed in P0068

Hans
