Hello.

I’ve been away from cars for a decade and jumping back in. I have an 07 turbo manual. It’s been stock since I got it new. Long story short, other priorities… I’m looking at some light upgrades. I’ve searched the forums and there is a lot of info but I’m unsure how things are in 2024. I’ve already had a bad experience with a shop in New Jersey. I had a soul performance exhaust with cats put on and they did $1800 of damage as they severed an intake hose on the the throttle body, left hose disconnected from the turbo, etc. I took it to the dealer to repair. The car still feels off. Also when I picked it up my traction control was turned off which I thought was suspicious and now I’ve had a couple of instances where the clutch is slipping.

There’s a bunch more of that story… Can I ask for recommendations from members on

an Independent shop in NJ/NY area
tune - Cobb?
suspension- looking to lower an inch - bilstein?

tune, there are a million out there now, dealers choice.
sounds like you may have a boost leak, can you get over 1.2 bar?

 

Agree with MBA, AIM Performance, they know their stuff, I have light mods, but they can go a build a crazy HP one if you so desire... Joe, Ryan and the team are awesome!

 

AIM Performance for sure. They take care of my car from mods to "everyday" maintenance like oil changes etc.

 

TKX Performance in Huntington Station.

Would take my car to a dealership before I used AIM Motorsports, likely sell it and move to a different platform.

 

Never heard of AIM, TKX in Huntington is outstanding, Taso does a great job!
