By your own admission you "loved" the Turbo S but still got rid of it. Then you "loved" the Gallardo and got rid of that. You, my friend are restless and have the disease bad. You are lucky enough to be in the position to have had some really nice cars but not really lucky enough to be able to own all you'd like at the same time (like most of us). Next time you fall in love resist the temptation to change for change sake (the $ reason on the G is only valid when you know you are getting rid of it, not if you were keeping it). I think you should go try a Ferrari and let us know.
Very very well said, you just summed it up perfectly!! How do I cure myself??

I had some time to think this through for you. Lou, just go out an buy another Gallardo and I think you will be okay for awhile. Forget about the vig, if the money doesn't matter to you, then get what makes you happy, that's the only true solution. Remember, regrets have no future.

I only recognize the symptoms b/c I have plenty of friends who have them and also do myself. The only cure I've found so far for me is to spend the money elsewhere so there isn't enough left over to do the car thing. Once you're a car guy all you can do is keep it in check. With this I'm proud to announce the beginning of my new auto self-help group: CARBS. It stands for Can't Anyone Really Be Satisfied? Our first meeting topic will be "If I asked you 20 years ago would you be totally elated with owning the cars you have now and the answer was yes. Then why do you still lust after everything else?"

Why would a sports car need all the above to make it complete?? Why doesn't Porsche lower it, make a decent exhaust, and differentiate it??

Wow Lou, this is something i was wondering TODAY, so weird! I was thinking, hmm, Porsche is like an upscale BMW in a sense with people doing crazy modifying and so on! I wish Porsche would make their cars more exclusive in a sense, no need to lower it, change so many components and so on, but oh well!

But then look at even Lamborghini's and Ferrari's these day's, i think there is just a HUGE market for aftermarket parts for any car now a days, including exotics and not just Porsche's, depends on how you look at it. We arent the only guys modifying!

I feel your pain man..I had a turbo and got rid of it for a sweet a$$ M3 and loved it. But thought i couldn't be without my TT so i bought it back.. After a month of owning it i regretted getting rid of the M...Now my way out of this going back and forth car stuff is just driving SUV's...But if i had the cash. A gallardo would be in driveway!!!

Good luck!

Maybe this will cure Lou

in 20 years us "never satisfied with what we have car nuts" will be on the cat food board arguing which brand tastes best.

Actually, they are still under warranty...it's 3 yrs/unlimited miles, and there are no '03 Stradales. And they have been extremely reliable. And slower? At the track it will be the quicker car.

A lot slower than the Porsche? I'd take a 360 Challenge over a 997 turbo any day of the week.

I would obviously take it over the 997tt also, its easily the most gorgeous car ever produced in my eyes! BUT, for most people they cannot drive it like they want, too stiff for the street and you cannot log miles onto them like a turbo unfortunately!

I must agree that the 360 challenge is one of the most gorgeous cars ever made. Even with the 430 coming out, I like the way the 360 Challenge looks. It's a classic design, no flaws.

Stop comparing cars that are 50-80K more than the TT. Its just not fair...
