I believe we'll be making trips up to Sac like the old days with Porsche Vs Porsche. Only problem is it'll be boring now with Porsche vs Porsche?!

The lag on my turbos (K24 hybrids with K18 compressors) feels very close to the stock K16's. They spool amazingly quick.

Great to hear how far you guys have come with the 997TT already, Todd. I look forward to following your progress.

Thanks Scott. I ran "a" 997TT at the drags last night. Videos can be seen here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spj0R9o-9-Y
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...54198911806463

This 997TT is fitted with our stage 1 performance upgrade. It is definitely MUCH faster than the stock 997TT. I was impressed with the way the 997TT performed and how much smoother the power delivery is with some very minor changes to the engine. The car ran a 12.2 @ 121 MPH. I had a 2 very bad launches and bogged it with a 1.9 60' time. Anyway, on my way home I hooked up my "driftbox" a performance data logger and ran some 0-60 runs, 0-100 runs and 1/4 mile runs (on a private airstrip of course) My previous runs with the 997TT bone stock were as follows:

STOCK 997TT
Best, Average
0-60: 3.8, 3.9
0-100: 9.7, 9.8
1/4 mile time: 12.27, 12.35
1/4 mile speed: 117, 116
60-130: 13.6, 13.8
Outside temps were 94F

Last night after the drags I was able to run some more times with this modified 997TT. We will be releasing more information on this stage of performance and what it includes on our "official evolution of a 997TT" thread. I will download the memory card and upload the graphs of these runs as well.

EVO Stage 1 997TT
Best, Average
0-60: 3.4, 3.6
0-100: 8.9, 8.9
1/4 mile time: 11.94, 11.97
1/4 mile speed: 121, 120
60-130: TBD, TBD
Outside temps were 86F

I will have more details about the modifications shortly. Additionally, I will be dyno testing the car again this week to see how much power we gained over our baseline numbers of 375 AWHP and 390 AWTQ

It is just unbeleivable that you guys at EVOMS are 24/7 onto the R&D time for the 997TT.
Todd, give it some more revs before you let it out of the gate on the 1/4 mile runs. I personnaly think that having a bit of wheels spin s better than bogging.
Congrat's on the Stage 1 ..... but we are looking for somethin on thelights of STAGE 3+.

Yes, give it some more Revs! That clutch should be going "out" sooner or later, no?

Of course but that wouldn't give out 'real world' numbers. Unless, that is, you dump your clutch @ 5000 rpm every time you get a green light.

Thank you. We spent the entire day yesterday on the dyno until we had a slight problem with the car. We had a clutch hydraulic line come loose, which ended our day early. It ended just being left loose from the factory, which was easily fixed.

We were testing our stage 1 upgrade that yielded excellent power gains at the drag strip, with the "driftbox" and we wanted to see exactly what the numbers were on the dyno. We were planning testing stage 1 and going back to stock yesterday to retest our baseline run. With the clutch problem, we had to put it off until today. I will have the numbers posted shortly.

<OWe originally baseline tested the car a few weeks ago, however I think the baseline numbers were low based upon our stage 1 results. The baselines were done with only a few hundred miles on the car and now that we have 1500 miles on it, the car feels quicker. I want to see if my but dyno is accurate and get same mileage baseline runs compared to our stage 1 run. I will post pictures and dyno graphs later today.

Fred, I wont let you down. We are making progress towards that GT700 I have to make a natural progression towards 700 HP. If we just went right to 700 HP, what fun would that be? What the hell am I saying it would be lots of fun This project is teaching me some patience. I have the attention span of a 2 year old and that is being generous. We will get there soon.
