Can anyone help me with a rough estimate of when I can expect to take delivery of my car. The production of the car is scheule for today. Please let me know what any of you may have experienced.

almost 30 days

Production today 10/17 at the port on or about 10/24 10 days on the boat, about another 7 days for customs and delivery. Best case 24-25 days, worst case 30 days.

That really depends on where you are. For example..I'm in Seattle. My car completed production on 9/15 and was put on the ship departing Bremerhaven on 9/26 and arrived at the San Diego port on 10/14 and is currently undergoing final PDI inspection before being loaded onto a truck. I'm still awaiting delivery of mine which is estimated to arrive at the dealership by the end of next week. I should be taking delivery of mine on Halloween day.

There are also a number of other factors that could delay or speed things up so it's hard to accurately predict when your car would arrive. Probably 30-45 days from the time your car completes production would be my best guess.

Here's my cars travel dates;

9/15 Completed production
9/19 Vessel left port
9/27 Arrived at Halifax
9/29 Left via carrier to the dealer (Toronto)
10/10 Arrived at dealer (picked her up yesterday)

I believe the trip to the dealer took a little longer because Canadian Thanksgiving fell on the weekend of October 7th.

I think timing has a large part to do with things. My car was finished on the Friday and the ship left the following Tuesday. I have also heard of other cars sitting at the port for a while waiting for the vessel.

Congratulations, Terk....still have that permanent grin etched on your face?

Was it everything you'd hoped that it'd be? I bet you love the car now.

My car also finished production at the same time as Terk's but it had just missed the ship leaving port on 9/19 to the West coast (different ship) so it had to wait for the next one which left on 9/26. So, there are many variables that could happen. Bottom line is, you'll get your car one way or another.

Sorry to hijack this thread.

Terk, glad to hear you love the Turbo! I've driven 5 different Turbos and I loved each and every one of them.

Jason, the Turbo is absolutely amazing and I am very happy with my colour and options. Discpline is now the call of duty to keep her inside of 4200rpm for then 3000km.

OK so now returning to the regular scheduled program.

Kirkorca, my dealer originally gave me a delivery window of 4-6 weeks and depending on where you are located and time of the shipping companys you will be anywhere in that time frame.

Thanks for the info guys.....hopefully with the car coming into an east coast port, maybe this might speed up the process versus the folks on the west coast.

I will say this, I am tired of not having a porsche to drive, can't wait for my turbo to finally be here!
