EVOMS Tuning: Straight off the Boat or Wait for Break-in?
EVOMS Tuning: Straight off the Boat or Wait for Break-in?
My TT will arrive in March and, Santa willing, I will likely get the EVO MS Stage III kit put on. I had planned on driving the car stock (but with GT3 RS wheels) through the break-in period and then getting the tuning done.
From reading the posts of the tuners, however, they seem to be mod'ing some cars prior to initial customer delivery.
You guys think that's prudent? What would you do / have you done?
Thanks and Merry Xmas.

Responses from all will be intresting! Have you asked EVOMS what thier opionion is? You should also inquire with respected tunners like Shark Werks, GMG, Lucent and IA (sorry if a missed some of you) Click the tabs over here>>>>>>>>>>
My opinion FWIW:
I see no harm if you proceed with the many recommeded break-in procedures (you pick which one). The car is choked a little here and there and could use some bigger lungs. Stages 3-4 start to add lots of juice, make sure you can manage that type muscle.

I'd wait if I were you...I'd drive the car while stock until you've broken it in just so you'd get a "baseline" on what your car is capable of before you see how much of a difference the EVO MS kit makes for you. Make sense?

My other car is an E60 M5 and just want to make sure the TT feels noticeably faster than the family sedan (lest my wife ridicule my purchase).

I actually think it's neat to drive the car stock just for a while and then get the mods done. As I said you really get to appreciate the difference that way....

You could always do the same thing I did which was to go on a road trip the morning after I took delivery! I put 2225 miles on my car in 4 days.
Now that was the best way to break her in!
