Nissan aspires to conquer the 911!?!
Ok, you guys are very narrow minded and are keyboard warriors. This will be my last post, because i dont want to get kicked off for saying something bad.Take care to you all, have fun with your Pcars, I did until i purchased my supra. Until the first person gets there gtr and follows in the footsteps of what the z06 has done to the 997 turbo, only time will tell.

You turn on the PC and see this Silver GTR going around the ring with a 2006 Porsche 997tt.. You have no idea what a Skyline is.. But you notice its and go to look further more into it...
OR would you be just as interested if you saw the GTR running against a 2002 R34 that you seen in the F&F...?
The thing is Nissan knows they have a following in the states for the GTR... Hell just ask anyone that reads on import mag... But there is still those over 35 crowd that really have no idea about a skyline... No idea that there is a racing history just as good as Porsches... So the best way to do that is mirror the closes car on the planet to a GTR and thats a Turbo..
They are EQUAL... yeah one has a better leather interior...but if you add another 50k to the price tag I am sure Nissan could make the car a LOT better... but they want to keep the price tag under 80k to my knowledge as who will justify owning an 80k dollar nissan... expect GTR fans
I love the idea of the GT-R so much - the R34 is an all-time favorite. I just wish the new one didn't look so ungainly (admittedly in pics/video so far). The proportions just don't look right - I want to see one in the metal...

Maybe it is you who is narrow minded. We are very open minded. Most P Car owners are willing to buy into a very practical sports car thats not all about HP. Corvette owners, well you know what they buy into. Flying Roofs and HP. It is you who don't respect other cars, you come in this thread and dog Porsche owners. Where Nissan respects Porsches and uses them to test against.
Yes you will get banned from trolling on here!

There are a lot of buyers however that have no clue what a good interior is, see all Corvette buyers! J/K The C6 isn't all that bad.

I feel more secure and grounded in the turbo though, dont worry about what's going to squeak rattle or break next. Weird.....
I've been selling vintage vettes forever. I love Vettes, they have a lot of character. But I have to point out whats true.
Bottom Line:
The fact that this thread (on a P-Car forum none the less) has gone 6 pages to talk about a "Nissan" proves that the car is gonna be SICK no matter what...and at the end of the day, who wins? Ther Germans or the Japs? Neither - its the CONSUMER that wins!!!

Though I am a nissan fan and looking forward to GTR, if I had extra 60g + to spend, I'd rather get 997TT or GT3 RS over it.
As far as engine spec, i am thinking VQ37DETT, which should be stroked version of VQ35DE but twinturboed.
GTR never let people down.
