This is on the Bahrain Formula One circuit, around the time of last month's launch of the CTR3.

I saw this blue RT12 at the Ruf factory and it had MPSC's and was running cup car brake pads. On the track it was around 5 seconds off the pace of the Supercup GT3's running full slicks.

Hard to believe that actually, but I suppose its possible considering Bahain has long long straights and the RT12 could exploit its power advantage...

I also had the chance to ride with Marco in the RT12 that day. All I can say is.. WOW

The car is astonishing on the track, there isn't a single criticism about it. This is the 650HP version. One of the other RUF drivers told me they tested it with full slicks and the car destroyed them in no time , that's why they had the MPSCs on it. Honestly, after riding in that car, I see NO REASON to ever want more than 650HP in such a great handling car, EVER.

I am seriously considering selling the house, move into an apartment and buy this 230,000 Euro beast In fact, it's probably a good investment too!

I love the sound of that motor when he down shifts and when the camera man says, "the g-force it's too much."

 

Marco made a point of saying he was going to "cool down" - brakes, etc. but there didn't seem to be much of a cool down period - is that typical?

 

Amazing video hesperus! Marko has some excellent lines as well. Amazing what is basically a street legal car can do against some pretty tough competition. Really enjoyed that day!
