Anyone have a way to upgrade the PCM firmware software version from version1 to version 3 ?

 

is 3 the latest? Also how do you find out what firmware version your PCM is?

 

You have to push two PCM buttons together to get this special screen to show up. Is it nav and Main? I forgot. I'll check and post later.

I had to have the dealer update mine due to bad mp3 playback functionality at one point.

 

Ok, I pressed main + info and I got a few lines and it says SW 3.2. Does this mean the firmware is 3.2???? What is the latest version?

Seems that you have a newer version. Let's try to get someone do this with an 07/08 car.

 

Porsche is twisting my brain into a pretzel. I don't see anyone selling 3.2 on ebay so I'm assuming PCM and SW are different items. All the new maps from 2006+ have PCM 2.1 and all the older(2005-) have 3.0 labeled on it. I'm getting all this info from ebay from what the sellers have posted. I heard with the newer firmware you can search by zipcode and I don't have that functionality so I'm assuming my version is old. Like I said my NAV says SW 3.2 so I guess it couldn't be the latest because if it was why don't I have the zipcode search option???

well my dealer try to update my firmware from v1.0 to 3.0 and in turn killed my amp. They are replacing it with a new amp. i have no audio for the last week since it's the holiday season

 

You need one of these ..



I put one in for the week it took to fix an amp (on another car).
