Sport Chrono features

Can someone remind me what additional features SC gives you besides the useless (to me) main feature for timing laps etc? I think there are some additional menus in the PCM setup such as wipers, lights etc. In considering a newer cab, I don't really care about the SC option itself unless it has some addtional setup features that may be useful.

If you are going to remap the ECU, and don't care about lap timer, then skip it. The "SPORT" mode you get with the Sport Chrono is great, although when you chip or reflash the ECU on a non-Sport Chromo car, you get the more aggressive mapping, throttle response, etc.

I forgot to mention that I was aware of the sport setting. However, I don't find that I use it much, and find the PASM setting better since it doesn't remap the throttle. it was the other side "benefits" that I couldn't remember. I need to read the manual to remind myself of the programming features available on cars with SC. Thanks.

I love the remap of the throttle as it gives more responsiveness. In fact on the Turbo one even gets an extra short term boost .

In cars w/ tip it helps to enhance shift response.

Im a fan. Transforms the the car especially in conjunction with PASM. Not a necessity but nice.
