Loud Wind Noise

While running my 08' C2S at about 80 MPH on a windy day. I had a loud "flapping" noise on the passenger side. It sounded like I had a plastic bag or something caught on the car. I stopped, looked underneath and all around, and didn't see anything. Started out again and the loud flapping noise continued even at 60 and 70 MPH, but stopped when I got into slower city traffic.

Has anyone experienced this, or have any idea what it might have been? It was really loud. Like when we used to put balloons on our bikes when we were kids. And only on the passenger side.

Thanks.

It is the sun roof. When open in a crosswind at speed the liner will flap. Ridiculous but it happens. The conditions have to just right and it seems unpredictable. Now of course you will tell me your roof was closed

Yes, the sun roof was closed. But even so, I'm positive the noise was coming from the passenger side (no, not the Mrs.). If I thought it were possible, I'd say that it sounded like the the car's sheet metal on that side was loose somewhere. I looked around but didn't see anything. I really don't want to go back to the dealer until I have some idea what it might be.

I've had the car for seven months and not one complaint. It's been great!!

Thanks for the reply.

This might be a stretch, but what about the luggage rack holder cover; could one of the snaps that hold that flap "down" come loose somehow on the right roof rail? dunno...
