Extremely carefully . On my three piece wheels the weights can knock off easily .

I use a mild rim cleaner with 3 or 4 different types of pliable brushes that I can get through the spokes of the Carrera Sports and get to the calipers pretty good. I also take the ebrake off and leave the car out of gear so I can roll the car and get to the whole caliper.

I just use the same stuff Im washing the car with but in a different bucket, zaino. Washing weeky they dont get too bad (car is also not a daily so that helps), microfiber mit I use for wheels only gets in there no problem, makes quick work of it.

...Car wash soap witha separate mit works just fine...never had a need for "wheel cleaners" etc even on my Touareg where the wheels get very black and very quickly.

They get clean when I clean the car, just not very clean.

When I bleed the brakes I take the wheel off, then I clean them with Quick Detailer, simple and easy once the wheels are off.

P21 S Wheel cleaner, cotton towel, Quick detailer or wax. A quick wipe down before calling it a night helps as well.
